Shirley Cox: Owner Shirley found her first postcard over 25 years ago at a local antique show. It was a picture of the railroad depot in her home town of Westminster, where her father used to take her as a little girl. She was immediately hooked. Now, nearly 30 years later she is the owner of one of the largest antique postcard businesses in the United States, stocking over 1 million postcards in her shop, and shipping cards to collectors all over the world. Shirley attends 30+ postcard & antique shows a year, from Massachusetts to Arizona and beyond. When home in the shop, she finds time to do most of the pricing of new material and all of the postcard appraisals, at which she is considered one of the foremost authorities in the United States. In her spare time, Shirley enjoys playing with her own Westminster and Santa postcard collections, and listening to opera. |

Tim Stonesifer: Owner / Manager Tim, Shirley's son, also found postcards at a young age. Growing up in the postcard business, Tim was familiar with nights of 'sleeving and stickering' cards and weekends spent loading and unloading postcards at shows all over the US. After receiving a B.S. in Economics from Towson University, Tim went to George Mason University for an M.A. in Economics, before deciding to return home to the business he grew up in. Now, as a full-time owner/ manager he runs the postcard shop for Memory Lane, shipping postcards to customers all over the world and selling online via eBay, Delcampe, and an auction of his own design, on this site. When time allows, Tim still enjoys the latest news from the world of Austrian Economics, as well as other reading, listening to jazz, and playing soccer with his dog Mickey. |

Melissa & Sarah: Filing & Clerical In trying to continue Memory Lane as a family business, Shirley & Tim are always recruiting family and friends, in addition to our part-time staff, to help look through a box of postcards. Their two most enthusiastic volunteers are always Melissa, Tim's wife, and Sarah, his sister-in-law. These two have great fun together, filing and sorting and looking at views of new things and places. They are a big help in a business that requires a lot of time and energy to remain organized. In their 'other lives' Melissa is a charge nurse at a local assisted living facility and Sarah is studying to do the same, at the University of Maryland. |

Anneliese: The New Boss On April 11, 2007 at 8:33 in the morning, Memory Lane's new boss lady, Anneliese Ruth Stonesifer, arrived on the scene here in Westminster. She weighed 7lb 15oz and was 20in long. Now, we here at Memory Lane might be a little biased, but we think she's the prettiest little thing we've ever seen, and she seems to just keep getting cuter (and bigger!) each & every day... |
